Contact the catalogue project
We welcome your observations, corrections, and questions. The Language & Linguistics Library is a small independent catalogue, and thoughtful reports from readers help us maintain the quality and accuracy of the collection.
When to write
You may wish to contact us about any of the following:
- Metadata errors — incorrect title, author, or contributor attribution; wrong publication details; missing or misleading category placement. For example, if a grammar of Hungarian is filed under a general linguistics heading rather than the appropriate language-specific section, we would like to know.
- File or reading issues — unreadable or corrupted files, formatting problems, broken displays, or failures on specific devices or browsers. This includes problems with text rendering, missing images in illustrated works such as the heather monographs, or navigation difficulties in longer texts.
- Accessibility concerns — difficulties with screen readers, text scaling, colour contrast, or any feature that impedes use. We strive to make the catalogue usable for all readers and appreciate detailed reports.
- Privacy questions — inquiries about data handling, cookies, or any personal information that may be collected. We take your privacy seriously and will respond to any concerns.
- Copyright or rights concerns — if you believe a work in the catalogue is not in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights to a text and wish to discuss its inclusion. Please provide relevant details such as publication date, author death date, or any applicable copyright renewal information.
- General editorial observations — suggestions for new editions, corrections to introductory notes, or other improvements. For instance, if you have expertise in Aztec place-names or Bisayan rhetoric and notice an opportunity to enrich the reading notes, we would be glad to hear from you.
What to include
To help us investigate efficiently, please provide as much of the following as possible:
- The page URL where the issue appears.
- The exact ebook title and, if relevant, the file format (ePub, PDF, HTML, etc.). For titles like A select glossary of English words used formerly in senses different from their present or Useful Phrases in the Shanghai Dialect, precision is especially helpful.
- The device, browser, or reading software you are using, including version numbers if known.
- A clear description of the observed problem. If the issue is intermittent or appears only under certain conditions, please mention that.
- Any supporting information, such as a rights statement or source citation, if the issue involves copyright or provenance. For historical works like the Shropshire directory, we may need to verify the edition.
